Built in 1912 as the Little Theatre, it is the smallest of today’s 41 Broadway houses with just under 600 seats. In it’s original Neo-Colonial design, it set itself apart from the popular theatre designs of the time that were mainly of Beaux arts and Classical styles. In its inception, the Little Theatre was adorned with walls covered in tapestries similar to the style of Francois Boucher. In honoring the landmark element of the theatre, while simultaneously designing a modern space, we have created a digital approach to the original design  by pixelating a theatrical image - One depicting Bacchus and Ariande - and homage to the Boucher-esque tapestries and theatre itself.
